RESOLUTION OS-05
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
ADOPTING A REVISED SEPTIC TANK CONVERSION ASSISTANCE
POLICY, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Commission on May 22, 2000, passed and adopted
Ordinance No. 80-00-61, which ordinance requires, among other things, connections from
private septic systems to public sewer systems, and
WHEREAS, Sec. 1(e) of said ordinance authorizes the City to offer financial
assistance and incentives to property owners by resolution, and
WHEREAS, city staff has developed a set of policies for the City to use as a
guideline for assisting property owners who must comply with the provisions of said
ordinance, and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 00-09 was adopted on June 12, 2000, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission authorized staff to amend the policies on
February 28, 2005, but did not adopt the changes by resolution.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of
Atlantic Beach as follows:
SECTION 1. The attached revised Septic Tank Conversion Assistance Policy is
hereby adopted.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its fmal passage
and adoption.
