Gentlemen:
The undersigned, Bertha G. Hairston, as owner of Lots 5 and 6,
Block 1, Atlantic Beach Parkway, petitions the City of Atlantic
Beach, Florida to re-zone the said property to Residence "B" .
The undersigned presently uses the said property as a residence,
and has owned the said property since 1949 .
The undersigned is a widow with limited income and desires to
modify the property from a single family dwelling into a multiple
family dwelling for both residence and income purposes . The
Planning Board has previously recommended that this property by
re-zoned to Residence "C" , and it is well known that present
plans call for the erection of an apartment complex on the east
side of Ocean Boulevard which will affect the use of the property
of the undersigned as a single family dwelling. The plans on
file at the City Hall, Atlantic Beach, call for this apartment
complex to be three stories in height .
At the time the undersigned filed her petition of May 14, 1965
there was attached the consent of abutting owners and the
petitioner incorporates that said consent by reference to this
new petition.
The undersigned petitioner urges the favorable consideration of
the Council in its meeting scheduled for January 13, 1966 .
Very truly yours,
BERTHA G. u RSTON
