REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF
ADVISORY PLANNING BOARD FOR THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLA.
NOVEMBER 2, 1966
The regular monthly meeting of the Atlantic Leach Advisory
Planning Board was held at the City Hall at 7 :30 P.M. on
iednesday, November 2, 1966.
Present : Chairman Alan Potter, Mabel Marvin, City i Tanager
I-iur7 ay Bennett, and Car: oll West.
STREET NAME CHANGES
Mr. Bennett discussed an ordinance which the city attorney
is in the process of preparing which would change part of
Lewis street which runs north and south to the name of
Ste,Ja.rt street. Part of Dudley street to be changed to
Edna street and that part of Lewis Street which runs west
to be changed to Mealy str. ee:t. Ech of these streets are
located in the Lewis subdivision.
It was also stated that there were two Jasm.i_n.e streets and
it was Er. Bennett ' s sugarestion that the Jasmine street
in the Saltair subdivision be changed to Maple street.
All p esent were in favor of these recommendations.
Zoning Change
1.r. Bennett recors1ended that a 'change in the zoning for
those parcels of land located on ,the east side of Orchid
street f- on hair street to Levy Rd.' be Ye-zoned from
Residence "AC" to Business "A" .'
After careful study, it was the' unanimous vote of the
Planning Board th:t this be done:
Mrs, -Marvin 'discussed various landsca_ping,projects to be done
with 'the- aid of -the various' Gar•cen Circles. The development' of
a lagoon between the tennis courts and the fire station was

discussed. This was previously recolnended in our minutes of
February 16, 1964;.
The possibility of paving at Cavalla Rd. to Beaches Aquatic in
order to relieve traffic was discussed.
Neighborhood Youth Facilities Program
The participation by the city in regards to the above
program was explained by Mr. Bennett. Since this was
sponsored by the Federal Government, it was the Board' s
suggestion that a study of the program be made.
There being no further business , the meeting was adjourned.

Dear Mr. Potter:
The City Commission has requested that the Advisory
Planning Board be invited to be present at the next
meeting of the City Commission at 8:00 P. M. on
March 28, 1966, at which time the Sign Ordinance will
be presented for first reading. They will appreciate
the Board being present in order to discuss any questions
that might be brought forth at that time.
