Gentlemen:
The Planning Board studied the request by
Beach Auto Sales , to erect a non -illuminated 4 X 8
sign at 160 Maynort Road, and recommend this request
be denied.
We feel the nrenonderance of signs at
ground level or nearly so are a distraction to the
motorist and tend to make it difficult for pedestrians
to see on coming traffic and thereby constitutes a
traffic hazard.

Gentlemen:
The Planning Board recommends the rezoning of
property located southerly of Lewis Street , and north of
Levy Road, extending to west Qlty limits, from classification
"D" , to "Liht Industrial" , to include southerly of Lewis
Street, to Main Street , then southerly of north city limits,
then bounded on west by west city limits and south by Levy
Road. Also included in this tract is a small part now zoned
"Business B".
The purpose for this recommendation is to set aside
a reasonable tract of land that can be used for Industrial
nurnoses and provide the city with a means whereby Light Industry
can be invited to locate here.
It is further recommended that the City Manager, notify
the Florida Develonment Commission of the availability of this
land and ask their assistance in obtaining tenants therefore.
