• REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF
ADVISORY PLANNING BOARD FOR THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLA.
SEPTEMBER 22, 1965
The regular monthly meeting of the Atlantic Beach Advisory Planning
Board was held at the City Hall at 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, September
22, 1965.
Present: D. H. Stynchcomb, JohnWeldon, A. J. Craig and Alan Potter.
SIDE WALK
It is recommended the City Commission requests the Expressway
Authority construct side walk along the North side of the pro-
posed Atlantic Blvd. ; side walk should extend from Penman Road
to Aquatic Drive, and if possible continue on to Mayport Road.
All present were in favor of this recommendation.
10411 SIGN ORDINANCE
Mr. Stynchcomb reported he had completed the review of the several
sign ordinances provided by the League of Municipalities for our
benefit. From this review Mr. Stynchcomb has made a draft of a
proposed sign ordinance for the City of Atlantic Beach. Commissioner
John Weldon recommended that the draft be referred to the City
Manager for review, typing and printing and distribution to the
City Commissioners , the City Attorney, and the Planning Board.
It is recommended that early as possible action be taken by the City
Commission for the adoption of the proposed ordinance.
All present were in favor of this recommendation.
