The Advisory Planning Board of the City of Atlantic Beach, met
Friday April 19th, 1963, at 7:30 in City Hall.
Present:
D.H. Stynchcomb, Chairman
Mabel Marvin, Secretary
John Printon, City Manager

Carroll West
Absent:
J. B. Claiborne ( Commissioner) .
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Mr. Stynchcomb.
The minutes of the last meeting were read.
The Board reviewed the request of the International Pike and Ceramics
Cor- oration, for rezoning the tract of land located on Levy Road,
Approximately 800 feet west of the intersection of Levy Road and the
Mayport Road, from residence "D" to "Light Industrial" , and recommend
to the commission that this request be granted. The attached. letter
was sent to the commission.
4111/ The Board regrets that the Hendricks Culligan Company, advised they
had abandoned the proposal to locate in Atlantic Beach, and had moved
their bocation to Neptune Beach.
The bulkhead situation was discussed at length, from the standpoint of
the individual property owner and the City. More study will be given
this matter in the future as events dictate.
Aletter was received from Hibicus Garden Circle suggesting that the
present city hall park be used by the children until the fire station
nark is completed.
The Hibiscus Garden Circle donated $10.00 , to be used in anyway to help
in the beautification program.
Aletter w s sen t to Hibiscus Circle thanking them for the check.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
