Application to subdivide a large oceanfront lot immediately south of Beachside (across from Oceanwalk) with dimensions of 75 feet wide by 624 feet deep filed by Dr. and Mrs. Robert B. Van Cleve. b. Application for Variance filed by Kent M. Haines to construct a patio and screened porch on property encroaching rear setback line for property located at 1958 Beachside Court ; c. Application for Variance filed by Karen and Dan Arlington to construct a porch that encroaches setback requirements for property known as 1850 Ocean Grove Drive. 4. OLD BUSINESS 5. Adjournment MINUTES OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BOARD OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA MARCH 17, 1992 7 :00 P. M. CITY HALL PRESENT • Gregg McCaulie Ruth Gregg Samuel Howie Robert Frohwein Mark McGowan Don Wolfson Pat Pillmore AND Alan Jensen, City Attorney George Worley, II, CD Director Pat Harris, Recording Secretary The Chairman, Gregg McCaulie, called the meeting to order and asked for approval of the minutes from the meeting of February 18, 1992. Upon motion duly made and seconded said minutes were approved. NEW BUSINESS: I. Application to subdivide a large oceanfront lot immediately south of Ocean Breeze (across from Oceanwalk ) with dimensions of 75 feet wide by 624 feet deep filed by Dr. and Mrs. Robert B. Van Cleve. Mr. Jim Dupree, architect for the Van Cleves, introduced himself to the board and explained the reasons for the request to sudivide said property. After discussion, Mr. Wolfson moved to approve the request and recommend to the City Commission approval with the condition that the oceanfront lot be limited to one Single-family residence. The motion was seconded and passed by a vote of 6 - 1. II. Application for Variance filed by Kent M. Haines to construct a patio and screened porch on property encroaching rear setback line for property located at 1958 Beachside Court. Mr. Haines introduced himself to the board and stated the reasons a variance was being requested. After discussion Mr. Wolfson moved to deny the application, Mr. McGowan seconded the motion and the application was denied by a vote of 5 - 2. 1U Application for Variance filed by Karen and Dan Arlington to construct a porch that encroaches setback requirements for property known as 1850 Ocean Grove Drive. Sam Jacobson introduced himself to the board and explained the reasons a variance was being requested. He relayed to the board the history of the residence. After discussion, Mr. Howie moved to approve the application. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Gregg and passed by a vote of 5 - 2.
