MINUTES OF THE CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD MEETING
HELD AT CITY HALL ON JULY 5, 1988 AT 7:30 P.M.
CALL TO ORDER: Present: George Bull, Jr. , Chairman
Mattie Freeman

Allen R. Salfer
Jerome R. Strayve, Members
AND: Suzanne Bass, Prosecuting Attorney
Claude L. Mullis, Counsel to the Board

1 . Approval of Minutes of March 10, 1988.
Mr. Moller moved for approval of the minutes of March 10, 1988 as
written. The motion was seconded by Mr . Salfer and carried
unanimously.

2. Recognition of Visitors and Guests
Chairman Bull welcomed City Manager Richard Fellows whom was seated
in the audience.

3. New Business
A. Resignation of Secretary
Chairman Bull stated he had received a letter from Adelaide Tucker
resigning her position as Secretary to the Board due to her
anticipated retirement. The effective date of her resignation being
July 1 , 1988 . He then presented Mrs . Tucker with a Resolution
showing the Boards appreciation for her outstanding service as Code
Enforcement Board Secretary. Mrs . Tucker stated she had enjoyed
working with the Board.

Mr. Bull moved the Board appoint Karen Moore the Code Enforcement
Secretary and send their recommendation onto the City Commission for
their approval. The motion was seconded by Mr. Strayve and carried
unanimously.

B. Introduction of New Code Enforcement Officer
Mr. Bull introduced Rene' Angers as Code Enforcement Officer for the
' City of Atlantic Beach.

C. Status Report from Code Enforcement Officer
Mrs . Angers presented the Board with a summary of the complaints
which had been received since January 1, 1988. She stated there were
a total of 62 complaints with 38 being resolved and 24 unresolved.
Suzanne Bass asked if most complaints were over the phone or did the
complainant come in person. Mrs. Angers advised some complaints were
being taken over the phone and some complainants come into City Hall.

There being no other business to come before the Board, Chairman Bull
declared the meeting adjourned at 7: 45 p.m.
