AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE
CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA FOR FISCAL YEAR
BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2006 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2007.
WHEREAS, the City Charter of the City of Atlantic Beach requires that the City
Commission approve all budgetary increases and transfers at the fund level, and
WHEREAS, the nature of budgetary systems and those day to day decisions affecting such
budgetary systems require adjustments from time to time, and
WHEREAS, the City has filed for reimbursement from our insurance provider for
various claims related to accidents in the Town Center. This modification will provide a budget
for those proceeds spent on repairs, and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that it is in our best interest to remove an old
underground gas tank from the City's right of way to ensure it is not an obstruction to future
Public Works infrastructure improvement projects. This modification will fund that project, and
WHEREAS, the City had C.D.B.G. funds left over from last year that have been carried
over into this year. This ordinance will appropriate those funds for utility taps and infrastructure
improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION ON
BEHALF OF THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, that;
1. The Fiscal Year 2006/2007 Final Budget be amended as follows:
GENERAL FUND
Revenues:
Insurance proceeds for loss reimbursement $10,000
Expenses:
Public Works Streets
Contract Services Town Center Repairs 10,000
Gas Tank Removal 15,000
Change in Fund Balance <$15,000>
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
Revenues:
Grant Proceeds $8,589
Expenses:
Aid to Citizens $7,999
Capital Outlay
Infrastructure Improvements $590
Change in Fund Balance $0
2. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
