1. Welcome and recognition of Community Development Board members. (Mayor
Meserve)
2. Introduction of Brian Teeple, Executive Director of the Northeast Florida Regional
Council. (Mayor Meserve)
3. Opening remarks from Mr. Teeple related to:
• The City's role in the Growth Management process and related to the region.
• Issues of particular relevance to the City of Atlantic Beach:
- Redevelopment trends and overdevelopment
- Retaining the character of Old Atlantic Beach
- The role of the Central Business District
4. Continued review of proposed amendments to the Goals, Objectives and Policies of 1990
Comprehensive Plan. (Open question and discussion.)
5. Public comments.
6. Local Planning Agency (LPA) and transmittal public hearing dates. Staff requests
authorization to advertise Tuesday, February 24, 2004 as the required LPA (Community
Development Board) hearing, and Monday, March 09, 2004 as the transmittal stage
public hearing before the City Commission.
7. Adjourn workshop.
