Board Member Review Committee Meeting
September 1, 2005
CITY HALL, COMMISSION CHAMBERS, 800 SEMINOLE ROAD
Call to order
The meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm. Those in attendance were City Manager Jim
Hanson, City Clerk Donna L. Bussey, and Cultural Arts and Recreation Advisory Committee
Chair Rusty Pritchett.
City Clerk Bussey informed the Committee that Mr. Ray Martin was no longer interested in
serving on the Cultural Arts and Recreation Advisory Committee and that he will not be
attending this meeting.
2. Discuss/review new applicant(s) for the Cultural Arts and Recreation Advisory
Committee
A. Darrell Prather
City Manager Hanson explained that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss membership
on the Cultural Arts and Recreation Advisory Committee. It was explained that the
Committee currently has two vacancies.
The Committee interviewed Mr. Prather. An overview of the duties and responsibilities of
the Cultural Arts and Recreation Advisory Committee was provided to him. Mr. Prather
explained his personal accomplishments and his interest in the community. The Committee
offered him the opportunity to ask questions. The Committee responded to those questions.
After the interview was conducted, the consensus was to recommend appointing Darrell
Prather to fill a current vacancy on the Cultural Arts and Recreation Advisory Committee.
There being no other business, the meeting adjourned at 5:25 pm.
