09-22-04 vMINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF TREE CONSERVATION BOARD September 22, 2004 A regular meeting of the Tree Conservation Board was held on September 22, in the Adele Grage Cultural Center. Present were Chair Maureen Shaughnessy, Jim McCue, Bill Permenter Charles Carroll, Building Official Don Ford and Recording Secretary Amber Lehman. Absent were Charles Carroll and Elizabeth Green. 1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m. 2. Recognition of Visitors None 3. Approval of Minutes of the Meeting of August 25, 2004 A motion was made by Board Member Permenter, seconded by Board Member McCue, and unanimously carried to approve the Minutes of August 25, 2004. 4. New Business A. Tree Removal Applications: 1. 320 5th Street: Board Member Permenter, seconded by Board Member McCue, motion unanimously carried to instruct building official to issue a tree removal permit to remove one 8 inch palm, one 12 inch palm, three 14 inch palms, two 15 inch palms, one 8 inch palm, one 10 inch palm, one 12 inch palm, one 15 inch palm, one 9 inch palm, and one 6 inch cedar to be mitigated with a 12 inch palm (# 17 on survey) on site in the interior zone. 2. 800 Seminole Road: A motion was made by Board Member Permenter, seconded by Board Member McCue, and unanimously carried to instruct the Building Official to issue tree removal permit for one 12 inch pine, one 15 inch pine to be mitigated at 100 percent with hard wood trees on site and to relocate one 18 inch cabbage palm and one 12 inch cabbage palm on site where the trees offer the least interference with the skate park. 3. Lot 39 Plat Book 42 1, lA-1F: A motion was made by Board Member McCue, seconded by Board Member Permenter, and unanimously carried to instruct the Building Official to issue a tree removal permit for one 12 inch palm, one 12 inch laurel oak, and two 6 inch laurel oaks with no mitigation required. B. Resignation of Board Member Don Ford, Building Official reported that he received a letter from Elizabeth Green stating that she had to resign from the board due to relocating to the northwest. Old Business Don Ford reported that Lloyd Bell, 388 Seminole Road paid $3,480.00 to the City of Atlantic Beach for pine trees that had been removed without a permit. 6.
