REGULAR MEETING OF
TREE CONSERVATION BOARD
October 13, 2004
A regular meeting of the Tree Conservation Board was held on October 13, 2004 in the
Adele Grage Cultural Center. Present were Chair Maureen Shaughnessy, Jim McCue,
Bill Permenter, Charles Carroll, Building Official Don Ford and Recording Secretary
Amber Lehman.
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m.
2. Recognition of Visitors
None.
3. Approval of Minutes of the Meeting of September 22, 2004
A motion was made by Board Member Permenter to approve minutes with one
correction to absent list, seconded by Board Member McCue, and unanimously
carried to approve the Minutes of September 22, 2004.
4. New Business
A. Tree Removal Applications:
1. 2234 Oceanwalk Drive West: A motion was made by Board Member
Permenter, to instruct building official to issue a tree removal permit for two
12 inch palms to be mitigated with one 12 inch palm or other species on site,
2°d Jim McCue; motion unanimously carried.
2. 348 Plaza: A motion was made by Board Member Permenter to instruct
building office to issue a tree permit to relocate one 13 inch palm on site and
to be relocated 15 feet to the west with one year warranty that the tree will live
after relocating, 2"d by Jim McCue; motion unanimously carried.
3. 371 Plaza: A motion was made by Board Member McCue, seconded by
Board Member Chuck Carroll to defer issue until next meeting due to
insufficient information; motion unanimously carried.

B. Tree Removal Permit Application
The Board discussed how to make the tree removal permit application less
confusing to the tree removal applicants. Jim McCue made a motion to change
the language in section 9 of the tree removal application to read: Choose one or a
combination of the following to compensate for trees removed. List in the
columns below by diameter inches, for your choice of mitigation or replacement
trees by inches in column D, 2"d by Bill Permenter; motion unanimously carried.
