REGULAR MEETING OF
TREE CONSERVATION BOARD
October 27, 2004
A regular meeting of the Tree Conservation Board was held on October 27, 2004 in the Adele
Grage Cultural Center. Present were Chair Maureen Shaughnessy, Bill Permenter, Charles
Carroll, Building Official Don Ford and Recording Secretary Amber Lehman. Jim McCue was
excused.
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m.
2. RecoEnition of Visitors
None.
3,_~proval of Minutes of the Meeting of September 22, 2004
A motion was made by Board Member Permenter to approve minutes from the October 13, 2004
minutes, 2"d by Charles Carroll, unanimously carried.
4. New Business
A. Tree Removal Applications
1. 354 & 3601St Street
A motion was made by Board Member Permenter to instruct building official to issue a tree
removal permit for '/2 of lot 19 for one 11 inch chinkapin and one 8 inch maple, and two 10
inch palms to be mitigated on site with 4 ten inch, 2"d Chuck Carroll; motion unanimously
carried.
B. Beach Ave & 1St Street
Don Ford, Building Official stated that public works will be doing a project
located at Beach Ave and 1St Street. Public works will need to remove 11 palms,
and will plant over 100% of the trees that they remove. The project will make 5
more public parking spaces and a bike island.
C. Community Presbyterian
Don Ford stated that he received a letter from the Community Presbyterian church
requesting removal of one oak tree that is dying. They have Mr. Ford to look at the tree
and grant permission to remove the dying tree.
