11-10-04 vMINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF ... TREE CONSERVATION BOARD November 10, 2004 A regular meeting of the Tree Conservation Board was held on November 10, 2004 in the Adele Grage Cultural Center. Present were Chair Maureen Shaughnessy, Bill Permenter, Charles Carroll, Building Official Don Ford and Recording Secretary Amber Lehman. Jim McCue was excused. 1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. 2. Recognition of Visitors None. 3. Approval of Minutes of the Meeting of October 27, 2004 A motion was made by Board Member Permenter to approve minutes from the October 27, 2004 minutes, 2°d by Charles Carroll, unanimously carried. 4. New Business A. Tree Removal Applications 1. 1601 Beach Avenue A motion was made by Board Member Permenter to instruct building official to issue a tree removal permit for 107 inches of Palm, 56 inches of hardwood, to be mitigated on site with 428 inches of palm, 13 inches of hardwood, relocate 58 inches of canary palms, and to be credited with 5 inches of oak that was previously planted, 2°d Chuck Carroll; motion unanimously carried. 2. 371 Plaza A motion was made by Board Member Carroll to instruct building official to issue a tree removal permit for one 14 inch cabbage palm, two 12 inch cabbage palms, one 10 inch cabbage palm to be mitigated onsite with one 14 inch cabbage palm, 2°d by Board Member Permenter; motion unanimously carried. 3. 1908 Creekside Drive A motion was made by Board Member Permenter to instruct building official to issue a tree removal permit for one 21 inch hickory, one 10 inch palm, and one 9 inch palm, to be mitigated onsite with one 16 inch sweet gum, two 12 inch palms, one 16 inch palm, and two 14 inch palms, 2°d by Chuck Carroll; motion unanimously carried. B. Calendar Mr. Ford presented the calendar for 2005. There were two changes made to the calendar. During the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas there will not be any tree board meetings. Board Member Permenter made a motion to accept the 2005 calendar with the corrections, 2°d by Board Member Carroll; motion unanimously carried. 5. Old Business Mr. Ford reported that Mr. Mackemy appealed the City Commission for a reprieve of the fine that he owed. The City Commission reduced his fine and will allow him to put two 4 inch oak trees on property and one in the right away, and to have a warranty for one year in lieu of paying his fine. 6. Reports and Announcements Mr. Ford reported that there will be a Florida League of Cities Advisory Training held on December 10 & January 14, 2005 in Orlando, FL if any of the board members were interested in attending. 7.
