09-14-05 v""° MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF TREE CONSERVATION BOARD September 14, 2005 A regular meeting of the Tree Conservation Board was held on September 14, 2005 in the Adele Grage Cultural Center. Present were Chair Maureen Shaughnessy, Jamie Fletcher, Stephanie Catania, Building Official Don Ford and Recording Secretary Amber Lehman. Chuck Carroll and Jim McCue were excused. 1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m. 2. Recognition of Visitors Chairman Shaughnessy recognized Dorothy Kerber. 3. Approval of Minutes of the Meeting of August 10, 2005 A motion was made by Board Member Fletcher to approve minutes from the August 10, 2005 minutes, 2°d by Board Member Catania, unanimously carried. 4. New Business A. Tree Removal Applications 1. 430 Garden Lane Earsell Goff, 430 Garden Lane stated that he is requesting a tree removal permit for one 9-inch oak and one 7-inch elm located in the exterior zone so that he may access his backyard better by installing a driveway with pavers. A motion was made by Board Member Catania, seconded by Board Member Fletcher, and unanimously approved to instruct the building official to issue a tree removal permit for one 9 inch oak and one 7 inch elm located in the exterior zone to be mitigated with one 12 inch oak, and one 14 inch palm located in the interior zone. 2. 676 East Coast Drive Genesis Building Corporation submitted a tree removal application to remove several trees, but in the application; mitigation was not listed for the proposed trees being removed. A motion was made by Board Member Catania, seconded by Board Member Fletcher, and unanimously approved to instruct the building official to notify the applicant that the tree removal application that has been submitted has incorrect information. The board would like the applicant to resubmit the application with the proper information. 5. Old Business None. 6. Reuorts and Announcements Mr. Ford stated that he was a member of the National Arbor Association and that if any board members would like to join, he will gladly sign them up. 7.
