PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION ON BEHALF OF THE PEOPLE
OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA:

commissioners from districts.
RAi.i.nT fiiTMMARV ~ Amending Sec. S of the Charter to designate commission
seats 2 through S as district commissioners, with each commissioner continuing to be elected at
large, but required to reside in the district from which he is elected. The four districts shall be
established by ordinance and use existing precinct lines as a beginning point, and shall be as
equal in population as possible and to the extent possible maintain the integrity of
neighborhoods and communities.
Shall the above Charter amendment be adopted?
Yes (approve amendment)

schedule for city elections.

(1) Sec. 14: Installation of new commissioners on second Monday in
November.
(2) Sec. 39: Election qual wing begins first Tuesday in September and
ends second Tuesday in September.
(3) Sec. 40: Commission seats become vacant second Monday in
November.
(4) Sec. 41: General election on first Tuesday in November.
(S) Sec. 43: Canvass returns second Monday in October for primary
election and second Monday in November for general election.
Shall the above Charter amendments be adopted?
Yes (approve amendments)
No (reject amendments) "
