SPECIAL CALLED
POLICE EMPLOYEES PENSION BOARD MEETING
December 12, 2006
1. The City of Atlantic .Beach Police Employee Pension Board meeting was called to order at
2:00 P.M. Those members in attendance were trustees, Harry McNally, Tony Downing and Richard
Downes. Henry Bartle and Dale Hatfield were absent. Also in attendance were Nelson Van Liere,
Plan Administrator and George Foster, Human Resources Director.
2. Approval of the application for disability Retirement of David Archer.
A review of the retirement criteria and medical documentation was discussed. The board accepted
the fitness for duty medical evaluation as an independent medical exam for the purpose of approving
the disability. It was also explained by Mr. Foster that Mr. Archer was eligible to retire with normal
benefits, however, for tax purposes, he was seeking disability.
A motion was made by Tony Downing to approve the disability retirement. The motion was
seconded by Harry McNally. The retirement was unanimously approved.
