SUBJECT: City Man er's Report
Funds for Fletcher Hi~6 Band; The City Commission requested that a budget amendment be
prepared to approve funding in the amount of $3,000 for the Fletcher High Band. Staff has
found a way to transfer this money temporarily between accounts so that the commission will not
need to adopt a separate budget amendment for this item only. This will be added to an
upcoming budget amendment when other changes are needed.
Workshou on Mavnort Corridor Issues; The Mayor and Commission decided that making
improvements to the Mayport Corridor be the most important strategic goal over the next couple
of years and requested that a workshop be scheduled within one month after the strategic
planning workshops were completed. This workshop has been scheduled for Tuesday, Mazch
25~' beginning at 5:00 pm in the City Commission Chambers. A staff report outlining several
options and recommendations is being distributed with this agenda packet so that the
commission will have time to review the recommendations prior to the meeting.
Strategic Plan; The City Commission also requested during the recent strategic planning
workshops that the strategic plan be adopted by resolution at a regular city commission meeting.
A large amount of staff time has been devoted to the Mayport Corridor issue, so that the overall
plan itself has not been completed as of the time of this writing. It is my intent to have it
completed and distributed to the city commission at the commission meeting on March 24~' so
that you will have time to review it and make any comments prior to adoption at the next regulaz
meeting on April 14~'.
