AGENDA ITEM: Ditch Spraying and Maintenance

BACKGROUND: The City's annual contract for Ditch Spraying and
Maintenance is with Bluewater Environmental of Florida, Inc.
expires on April 30, 2008. We have contacted Mr. John
Pastore, owner of Bluewater Environmental of Florida, Inc.,
who has agreed to extend the contract for another year at
the current prices ($20,928.00}. The City has the option of
extending the current contract for two (2) one (1) year
periods. This proposed extension would be the second.
RECOMMENDATION: Extend the contract for one year at the current prices.
ATTACHMENTS: Letter signed by John Pastore, owner of Bluewater
Environmental of Florida, Inc. agreeing to the extension at
the current prices.
BUDGET: Budgeted $21,000.00 in Stormwater Account 470-0000-538-
34.00.

As you are aware, the contract with the City of Atlantic Beach for ditch spraying & maintenance
expires on April 30, 2008. We would like to extend the contract for another year at the current
prices, if this is acceptable to your company.
If acceptable, please sign below and return to me before March 31, 2008, so I can prepare a staff
report for the City Commission to accept the extension.
We look forward to recommending that we continue our contract with your company.
