CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD MINUTES
7:00 P.M., January 8, 2008

Chairman Carl Russell called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of
Allegiance to the Flag by all present.
Chairman Carl Russell requested that the roll be read. Secretary Susan Gorman read the roll and
determined that there was a quorum.
Following a brief review, the Board voted unanimously to approve the minutes of the Code
Enforcement Board Workshop meeting of November 14, 2007. Chairman Russell asked
Secretary Gorman to verify the approval of the minutes from September 1 1, 2007.
1. Introduction of Veda Bernstein
Alex Sherrer introduced new Alternate Board Member, Veda Bernstein.
2. Old Business:
a. Case #165-05: Mr. Benjamin Brown, 457 Sailfish Dr.
Code Enforcement Officer Alex Sherrer provided an update on Case #165-05. Mr. Brown is not
in compliance and the Board reviewed recent pictures of the property at 457 Sailfish Drive.
Chairman Russell asked the Board for a motion to rescind the fine reduction that was contingent
upon Mr. Brown's compliance. Ray Martin offered a motion to rescind, Veda

Bernstein seconded. Chairman Russell asked for a roll call vote. Secretary Gorman called the
roll and the motion passed unanimously.
3. New Business:
Alex Sherrer advised the Board that they would not have to hear animal control cases in the
future. Non-payment of animal control fines must appeal before a Judge.
4. Adjournment:
The Code Enforcement meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
