AGENDA ITEM: Approval of Loca1630 Blue Collar and White Collar union
contracts for the period October 1, 2007 through September 30,
2008.

BACKGROUND: The members of Loca1630 Blue Collar and White Collar unions
have ratified the Union contracts with the provisions as decided by
the City Commission at the Impasse hearing on May 5, 2008. The
key provisions are:
- If eligible, employees will receive a Merit pay increase
retroactive to October 1, 2007.
- Employees will receive a COLA retroactive to January 1, 2008.
- Vesting for new employees hired on/after the effective date of
the change to the General Employee Pension Plan is changed
from five (5) years to ten (10) years.
BUDGET: Funds for these changes are currently within the budget.
OTHER: A copy of the complete Union contracts are available within the
City Clerk's office for review.
RECOMMENDATION: That the City Commission approve the Loca1630 Blue Collar and
White Collar union contracts for the period October 1, 2007
through September 30, 2008.
