BACKGROUND: The City of Atlantic Beach provides mosquito control
services intended to augment the efforts of the Duval County Mosquito
Control Division. The current Mosquito Control contract expires on August
31$t. Bids for the 2008 Mosquito Control Program were opened at 3:00
PM on August 13. There were two bidders: Bluewater Environmental of
Florida, Inc. and Pestmaster Services, Inc.

RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding the Mosquito Control Services
contract to Bluewater Environmental. The last contract was $1,300
monthly and $0.0040 sf for banding. Bluewater is the current mosquito
control contractor.
