AGENDA ITEM: Royal Palms Sewer Rehabilitation -Continuation

BACKGROUND: As recommended in the Sewer Master Plan Update, the City Commission
allocated funds for sewer rehabilitation in the budget. The City Commission authorized staff to
"piggyback" on JEA's contracts with Insituform Technologies, Inc. for Cured-in-Place Pipe to
perform sewer system rehabilitation in the Royal Palms azea in the amount of $711,951.15 plus a 5%
contingency for FY08.
A total of $84,000 has been requested for the FY09 budget.
Using the JEA contract unit prices for Insituform shown on the attached spreadsheet, the cost for
cured-in-place pipe rehabilitation Royal Palms is $84,0()0.
BUDGET: A total of $84 is requested for the FY09 budget in the Sewer Fund for this project, in
account number 410-5506-535-6300.
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize Insituform Technologies, Inc. to continue providing cured-in-
place piping work in the Royal Palms subdivision in the amount of $84,000, using pricing in JEA
Contract No. WCS-066-07.
