Investigations of the property disclose that there are several code violations of the Standard Housing Code. Listed below are the violations you were notified of and the Sections of the Standard Housing Code they violate. • Water damaged ceilings throughout. Hole in bath and laundry room ceilings. • Holes in walls in several rooms. Sectio~B~51~~plpg • No working smoke detectors. Section 302.9 • No fire separation, townhouse. Section 704.4 (FBC) • Backdoor does not close or lock. Section 305.21 • Windows inoperable throughout. Section 305.10 • Interior doors and frames deteriorated throughout. Section 305.2 • Upstairs flooring sagging and gives in various locations. Section 305.17 • Electrical problems with living room outlet. Section 304 • No hot water for laundry, line is capped off. Section 304.2 • Repair leak in slab. Section 305.1 • Doorknobs and doors broken in bedrooms. Section 305.2 and 305.21 • Exterior handrail loose. Section 305.6 • Drain leaks. Section 302.1 No record of obtaining permits has been recorded as required per Florida Building Code, Chapter 1, Section 104. Failure to comply within 15 days of receipt of this letter will result in the case being turned over to the Code Enforcement Board. Under Florida Statute 264 the City of Atlantic Beach may impose a fine of up to $250.00 a day. Regards, Larry J.
