SUBJECT: City Manag s Report
New Website; the City has revamped its website to provide better citizen access as well as
several new features. For example, there is a new "How Do I...?" tab on the front page that will
take visitors directly to answers to many of the most common questions. The site is still located
at the old address www.coab.us. If you have not gone to the city's website recently, you might
want to check it out.
Alcohol Dealovment; the City Police Department conducted another alcohol deployment to
check if area businesses would sell alcohol to minors in mid December. For the second time in
recent months, they were unable to fmd any businesses where purchases could be made. Twelve
different businesses were checked along Atlantic Boulevard, Mayport Road, Seminole Road and
Royal Palms Drive.
Bus Tour of Mavport Corridor Proiect; A bus tour has been scheduled for the City
Commission, key staff members and members of the media who would like to tour the Mayport
Corridor area to see what progress has been made as well as what is left to be done. The tour
will be on Tuesday, January 20th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. The bus will be provided by Fleet
Landing. Any members of the media who would like to join in should contact Yvonne Calverley
so that we can be sure seating space is available. Also, if any members of the public would like
to join in, they will be welcome to do so on a space available basis.
