03-06-95 v NOTES FROM THE COMMISSION WORKSHOP HELD IN CITY HALL CONFERENCE

The workshop, which was held for the purpose of hearing
presentations by department heads relative to the goals and
objectives of their departments.
Presentations were made by department heads in the order listed
above and handouts were distributed to provide additional
information regarding the various goals and objectives. Following
their presentations, each department head responded to questions
from the City Commission.
Discussion ensued following the department head presentations and
a City Commission goal setting session was scheduled for 5:00 PM on
Monday, March 20, 1995.
The Mayor indicated that a representative from the University of
Florida would be visiting with the Recreation Department at 11:00
AM on March 15, 1995, and invited any commissioners who were
interested to attend this meeting.
A lengthy discussion ensued regarding the manner in which
commissioners worked together as a group. In discussion regarding
procedure at meetings, the Mayor explained the Code of Ordinances
provided that Roberts Rules of Order would be used in matters
regarding parliamentary law.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 PM.
