MINUTES OF THE REQJIAR MEETING OF THE CITY COMMIISSION HELD AT CITY HALL
ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 3, 1989
Before the Commission meeting, representatives of the Duval County
Supervisor of Elections Office, witnessed by candidates, their guests,
and city employees, counted and verified the count of the votes cast.
The meeting was called to order at 8:45 PM by Mayor Gulliford. Present
in addition to the Mayor, were Commissioners, Cook, Edwards, Jensen and
Tucker. Also present were City Manager Leinbach and City Clerk King.
1. Canvass the returns of the municipal election and declare the
results thereof
The Clerk read in full Resolution No. 89-46, A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE
RESULTS OF THE PRIMARY ELECTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
HELD TUESDAY, OCTOBER 3, 1989, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A MAYOR-
COMMISSIONER AND Tin) COMMISSIONERS, the results of said election being
as follows:
Mayor William I. Gulliford Elected - 2 years
Cb missioner #4 Adelaide R. Tucker Elected - 4 years
Commissioner #5 Glenn A. Edwards Elected - 4 years
Commissioner Edwards moved for adoption of Resolution No. 89-46. The
motion was seconded by Commissioner Jensen and carried unanimously.
2. Any other business:
There being no further business to cane before the Commission, the Mayor
declared the meeting adjourned at 9:00 PM.
