Implement a Community Oriented Polling Unit. Two police
officers have been trained and assigned to work as a COPS
unit along the Mayport corridor. Activities have been ongoing
since August. COPs officers have made many contacts within
the community both citizens and businesses. They have
started working on an after drug safety program at the Donner
Community Center. Officers have had a significant impact on
the presence of homeless people and prostitutes in the corridor.
At least three of the prostitutes have been charged with felonies
(which is an improvement), and the police have been partnering
