AGENDA ITEM: Annual Contract for Concrete Repairs -Bid #0708-14

BACKGROUND: The City's annual contract for Concrete Repairs is with
Sheza General Contractors, Inc. and expires on August 31,
2009. We have contacted Ms. Jill Meadows, President of
Sheza General Contractors, Inc. who has agreed to extend
the contract for another year at the current prices. The City
has the option of extending the current contract for two (2)
one-year periods. This proposed extension would be the
first.
RECOMMENDATION: Award the extension of the Annual Contract for Concrete
Repairs for one year, from September 1, 2009 through
August 31, 2010.
ATTACHMENTS: Letter signed by Jill Meadows, President of Sheza General
Contractors, Inc. agreeing to the extension at the current
prices.

Dear Ms Meadows:
As you are aware, the contract with the City of Atlantic Beach for Concrete Repairs expires on
August 31, 2009. We would like to extend the contract for another year at the current prices, if
this is acceptable to your company. If acceptable, please sign below and return to me before June
30, 2009, along with a current Insurance Certificate naming the City of Atlantic Beach as
certificate holder. Once I receive these I can prepare a staff report for the City Commission to
accept the extension.
We look forward to recommending that we continue our contract with your company.
