AGENDA ITEM: Annual Janitorial Services for City Facilities

BACKGROUND: The current contract for janitorial services expires on August 31, 2009.
Over the past year, Miracle Janitorial Services, Inc. has provided the City
with janitorial services for all city facilities. They have demonstrated
great customer service and have done a professional job maintaining the
cleanliness of the facilities. The City has spoken with the President and
CEO of Miracle Janitorial Services, Inc. regarding a one year extension
and they have agreed to renew the current contract at the same price. Per
Bid No. 0607-10, the City has the option of extending the current
contract for two (2) additional one-year periods and this proposed
extension will be the second.
BUDGET: No additional cost. The current yearly amount paid to Miracle Janitorial
Services, Inc is $55,200.00.
RECOMMENDATION: Recommend the City Commission extend the janitorial contract to
Miracle Janitorial Services, Inc. for one (1) additional year to expire on
August 31, 2010.
