10-02-73 v MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH CITY COMMISSION HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 2, 1973, AT 8:00 P. M. PRESENT: William S. Howell, Mayor-Commissioner R. R. Rosborough Lo W. Minton, Jr. F. W. Fogg D. W. Speed, Commissioners AND Ro C. Vogel, City Manager Oliver C. Ball, City Attorney Gloria June Knight, City Clerk ABSENT: None The meeting was called to order by Mayor-Commissioner, Mr. Howell, and immediately went into session as a Canvassing Board to receive the Certificate of Results from the Election Officials covering the Primary Election of City Officials for Commission Seats No. 1, 4 and 50 Copies of the Certificate of Results of the Primary Election of October 2, 1973 were presented to the Board by the Mayor and City Clerk. Commissioner Speed moved that the Certificates be accepted as presented, seconded by Commissioner Fogg and carried. Mayor Howell then read Resolution No. 33-73-20. accepting the returns and specifying the elected officials. Commissioner Minton moved the adoption of said Resolution No. 33-73- 25 seconded by Commissioner Speed and carried. Whereupon, Mayor Howell declared said Resolution adopted and the following officials duly elected as indicated. Seat #1 - William S. Howell, Mayor-Commissioner (2 years) Seat #5 - Robert B. Cook, Sr. , Commissioner (4 years) The run off for Seat #4, Commissioner, to be held October 16, 1973 in the General Election, There being no further business the Mayor declared he me ting adjourned. S . Howell 548 Seat #4, Commissioner, Nary Beth Koechlin 204 Seat #4, Commissioner, L. W. Minton, Jr. 296 Seat #5, Commissioner, Robert B. Cook, Sr. 374 and it is further found and determined that the above named candidates are duly elected to serve for two years, Seat #1. The run off for Seat #4 will be at the General Election on October 16, 1973 .
