MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF ATLANTIC BEACH COMMISSION
HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON MONDAY, APRIL 10, 1972, at 8:00 p.m.

The meeting was called to order by the Mayor-Commissioner, Mr.
Howell. The Invocation was given by Commissioner Minton, followed
by the pledge to the flag.
The minutes of the regular meeting of March 27, 1972, were approved
as written upon motion of Mr. Speed, seconded by Mr. Minton, and
carried.
Mr. Howell recognized visitors and asked for business to be
considered not on the agenda. There was none.
Mr. George Bull requested that the City call for bids of water,
sewer, drainage, and paving for Selva Marina Unit No. 8 directly
north of the existing Units No. 6 & 7 . Plans are being prepared
by Mr. Walter J. Parks and he expects to have them ready by Friday.
It isthe. policy of the City to require the developers to pay for
the necessary improvements except as may be specified. Mr. Bull
advised that the paving of Saturiba Drive from Selva Marina Drive
to Seminole Road will be part of this project. Mr. Howell suggested
that we authorize the city manager to call for bids when Mr. Parks
has the plans ready. Mr. Speed moved that the city manager be
authorized to proceed with the call for bids including the paving of
Saturiba Drive. Motion was seconded by Mr. Minton and carried.
111, Approval was requested for the purchase of sewer equipment in the
amount of $722.50 from Account No. 2053 for repairs to lift station.
Motion for approval was made by Mr. Rosborough, seconded by Mr.
Minton and carried.

Mr. Hilliard asked for the Commission' s approval to call for
bids for a pick-up truck. It is in the 1972 budget. Permission
was granted.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned by
Mayor Howell.
