Mr. Hilliard, Director of Public Works, reported on the condi- tions around the Pic N' Save Store and it was advised that we have made several attempts to contact the proper officials without success to get the clean-up done. The Commission directed that a letter be written to Pic N' Save to get cleaned up or we will clean and assess against the property. The Mayor advised that no further word has been received on the cigarette tax allocation. Mr. Ball outlined the situation as to the City of Jacksonville and Occupational Licenses. The City of Jacksonville has levied a Municipal Occupational License against our business people in Atlantic Beach. He advised the City Attorneys of the Beach Cities have discussed this and it is their opinion that we should go to Court quickly on this illegal taxation. He asked approval to go to Court for the City of Atlantic Beach with the other Beach Cities and perhaps some individuals, and it should be done before the next Commission meeting. There was discussion following which Mr. Minton moved that we go along with the recommendation of the City Attorney, seconded by Mr. Rosborough and carried. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned by the Mayor. • ` . * - .yo J Tin7issioner Attest: /! 0 • Adele S. Grage / City Clerk
