10-05-71 v MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH CITY COMMISSION HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 5TH, 1971, AT 8:00 P. M. 41/ Present: William S. Howell, Mayor-Commissioner L. W. Minton, Jr Robert R. Rosborough ������ Absent: Arthur J. Longo �r�0 Marion Marvin, Commissioners and R. C. Vogel, City Manager Oliver C. Ball, City Attorney Adele S. Grage, City Clerk The meeting was called to order by the Mayor-Commissioner, Mr. Howell, and immediately went into session as a Canvas- sing Board to receive the Certificate of Results from the Election Officials covering the Primary Election of City Officials for Commission Seats No. 1, 2, 3, and 5 . Copies of. the Certificates of Results of the Primary Election of October 5th, 1971 were presented to the Board by the Mayor and City Clerk. Mr. Minton moved that Certificates be accepted as presented, seconded by Mr. Rosborough and carried. 41/ Mayor Howell then read Resolution No. 71-22 accepting the returns and specifying the elected officials. Mr. Minton moved the adoption of said Resolution No. 71-22, seconded by Mr. Rosborough and carried. Whereupon Mr. Howell declared said Resolution adopted and the following officials duly elected as as indicated: Seat #1 - William S. Howell, Mayor Commissioner - (2 Years) Seat #2 - F. W. Fogg, Commissioner - - - - (4 Years) Seat #3 - Robert R. Rosborough, Commissioner - - (4 Years) Seat #5 - Douglas W. Speed, Commissioner - - - - (2 Years) Copy of Resolution No. 71-22 is attached to these Minutes and made a part hereof. Nowell 461 • SEAT #2, COMMISSIONER: F.W. Fogg 434 SEAT #3, COMMISSIONER: Robt. R. Rosborough 373 SEAT #5, COMMISSIONER: Douglas W. Speed 463 and it is further found and determined that the above named candidates are duly elected to :cryfor two years for Seats #1 and #5, and to serve 4 years for Seats #2 411/0 and #3. And be it Further Resolved, that all Candidates be and are hereby commended for the dignified manner in which their campaigns were conducted in said election.
