MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH CITY
COMMISSION HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 26 , 1970
Present : A. J. Longo , Mayor-Commissioner Pro Tem
R . R. Rosborough,
Preben Johansen , Commissioners
Richard Hilliard , Acting City Manager
Mrs . Adele Grage , City Clerk
Absent : William S . Howell , Mayor-Commissioner
Commissioner L. W. Minton , Jr .
R. C . Vogel , City Manager
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor-Commissioner
Pro Tem, A. J. Longo .
The Invocation was given by Commissioner Rosborough.
Regarding the minutes of October 12 , Mrs . Grage commented
that on Page 2 , 10th line , immediately following `92/3rd"
the following words should be inserted : "on the existing
platted streets . P9
Upon motion of Mr . Johansen , seconded by Mr . Rosborough , and
carried , the minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 12 ,
were approved with the above insertion .
Upon motion of Mr . Johansen , seconded by Mr . Rosborough , and
carried , the minutes of the Special Meeting of October 19 ,
were approved as written .
Mr . Longo , Chairman of the Flag Committee , reported that only
three designs had been submitted for consideration and he
recommended that the time be extended to allow for further
submissions which he feels are needed . The extended time
was allowed .
Mr . Rosborough expressed the feeling of the Commissioners ,
that they were pleased to see Mr . Isaacs back with them in
the audience after an extended absence , due to illness .
Mrs . Grage reported that the millage for Atlantic Beach for
this year , was six mills .

Minutes 10/26/1970
Mr . Rosborough commended Mrs . Drage on the speed with which
the tax rolls were completed and Mrs . Grage commented that
the commendation should be extended to the girls in the
office staff who worked so hard on them. She was proud of
the fact that not only were they finished , but were done
ahead of the deadline date .
There being no further business , Mayor Pro Tem Longo declared
the meeting adjourned .
