a. Events, Updates, Reports
i. Songwriters' Concert -Jeff reported that 50 people attended the concert and there
were 20 performances.
ii. Arts in the Park -Marketing -Lynne reported that this year the event would be
advertised in the weekend section of the Times-Union and the Beaches Leader. A
new poster design was chosen from the graphic artist Melinda Bradshaw. Post
cards are being ordered - 2500 -for mailing and distribution. Posters will also be
printed for the event. Melinda has requested payment and a discussion followed.
Word of mouth about the event still seems to be the best form of advertising. Jesse
reported that 6 vendors have been invited for the event of which four have
confirmed. A discussion followed about how to handle the artists' lunches for this
year -one set lunch for the artists or a choice of any of the food vendors. Jolyn
reported that so far she has 12 volunteers but will need 30 snore throughout the
day to help artists set up and to help with food and breaks. Strong men and some
Fletcher teens would be helpful.
iii. Lagniappe Night -Meade reported that the first night of Lagniappe went well. She
had 6 presenters and about 20 people in the audience. The topics were varied and
people seemed to enjoy. Popcorn and lemonade were served for refreshments.
She also has some presenters for next month's event. She suggested that we get
the limo to deliver people to Adele Grage for 7 pm and arrange far pick-up as well
- either a schedule or a cell phone number to call.
iv. Green Farmers Market -Jeff reported that he's been getting good feedback on
starting a Farmer's Market in Atlantic Beach. He plans to talk to the Jarboe Market
about how to start up a market at Bull, Johansen, or Russell Parks. Jeff has a
sample agreement/contract between Neptune Beach and the Jazboe mazket. He
had a number of procedural issues that need to be addressed. Tim will work on
the procedural issues and get back to Jeff so he can bring a proposal to the
committee at the next meeting.

the motion and the committee agreed to adjourn at 8:02 p.m.
