AT 8:00 P. M.
Present- William S . Howell, Mayor-Commissioner
Arthur J. Longo
L. W. Minton, Jr.
R. R. Rosborough, Commissioners
and
R. C. Vogel, City Manager
Oliver Ball, City Attorney
Adele S . Grage, City Clerk
Absent: Preben Johansen, Commissioner
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor-Commissioner, Mr.
Howell.
The Invocation was given by Commissioner Minton.
Mr. Howell and Mr. Rosborough reported for the Committee on
Group Health and Accident Insurance that they had met with three
apparent low bidders in an effort to clarify the differences in
the coverages. Mr. Howell advised it has now been reduced to a
decision between Peninsular Life Insurance Company and Travelers
Insurance Company. Each of these companies had a representative
present tonight.
There was a lengthy discussion of the various classifications
with coverages. Both plans are basically the same with variances
in different classifications. Mr. Howell advised he would like
to get back with representatives of these two companies and go
over again.
Mr. Minton moved that this matter be referred back to the Committee
to report back at next meeting with recommendations, seconded by
Mr. Longo. There was further discussion in which it was agreed
that we give each of these two companies an absolutely correct
census sheet. Following discussion, Mr. Howell put the question
and the motion carried.
There being no further business, Mr. Howell declared the meeting
adjourned.
