LAW. THE EXEMPTION ALLOWS YOU,AS THE OWNER OF YOUR PROPERTY,TO ACT AS
YOUR OWN CONTRACTOR EVEN THOUGH YOU DO NOT HAVE A LICENSE. YOU MUST

RE: Notice of Violation(Roof and Drainage,Permit Required)
Please be advised,Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement sent a notice of violation concerning Roof and
Drainage damage Per International Property Maintenance Code Chapter 3 Sec:304.7; and Chapter I
Sec; 105.1 of the Florida Building Code under administration.On January 2e,2010 to the property
known as 198 Poinsettia St.Atlantic Beach Fl,32233 PID#17-2S-29E.132 RE#172032-0000 which states
"The roof and flashing shall be sound,tight and not have defects that admit rain.Roof drains,gutters
and downspouts shall be maintained in good repair and free from obstructions as well per the Florida
Building Code which states any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct,enlarge,alter,
repair shall first make application to the building official and obtain the required permit".
This letter is to inform Wayne D.Scott.,property mgmt.and all interested parties of the violation,due to
the non compliance by February 25h,2010,and to also inform that a hearing will be set with the code
enforcement board at 800 Seminole Rd Atlantic Beach,Fl 32233,in the commission chambers.
The City of Atlantic Beach Code Board Administrator will send all interested parties on record notice
with the time and date of the hearing which may be held Marche 2010 at which time the Code
Enforcement Board may impose a fine up to$250 a day for each day the violation is not corrected.
It is the goal of the City of Atlantic Beach to enforce the city code and ordinances and to protect the
health,safety and welfare of the city as well maintain property value and accordingly all interested
parties cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.Please contact Atlantic Beach Code
