BACKGROUND: Public Utilities and other City departments require the services of
qualified and licensed electricians to troubleshoot, repair and install wiring, controls and various
electrical components. Bids were advertised, 9 contractors were sent invitations and 3 contractors
attended the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting. One contractor submitted a bid:

Apprentice Electrician $21.00
Subtotal $82.00
Overhead & Profit percentage 30% - $24.60
Total $106.60
Brooks Limbaugh Electrical Co., Inc. was the responsive low bidder. Brooks Limbaugh has
been performing the City's electrical work for many years and the City has been very pleased
with their work.
BUDGET: These services are used on an as- needed basis, and there are funds of $93,000
budgeted in the Water and Sewer Funds under account nos. 400 - 5502 -533 -3400, 410- 5506 -535-
3400, and 410- 5508 -535 -3400.
RECOMMENDATION: Award the annual contract for Electrical Troubleshooting, Repair and
Installation to Limbaugh Electrical Contracting, Inc. at the rates listed in Bid No. 0910 -16.
