3)In 1986.I started and operated a successful small business**in Atlantic Beach.an
experience that remains with me still! I ant very much aware of the impact a business has
upon the community and how important it is to work within the community.both with
neighbors and customers.and with the City government.
4)Recently,I spear-headed a successful neighborhood action to have the speed humps on
Plaza reinstalled,a development that has proved etl'ective in restoring the residential
ambience of one of Atlantic Beach's oldest neighborhoods. By clearly defining the goal
and asking for their help.I think I effectively encouraged many residents to actively
participate in the process.
5)My family moved to the Beaches area in 1954. I went to San Pablo Elementary
School.the"old"Fletcher.now FMS,and the`new"Fletcher,FHS.graduating in 1967.
