I have a combination of ten years of employment with the City of Jacksonville holding a
position with the Traffic Engineering Division for seven years and I am currently with the
Planning and Development Department.
I hold a position as a Zoning Code Inspector Senior and have completed Level 1. 11. and
III certification from the Florida Association of Code Enforcement. Both positions
required field investigations,preparing reports on observed violations and identifying
conditions requiring correction. answering questions and resolving complaints from the
public and providing information and guidance of city policies,traffic codes. zoning
codes. While employed by Traffic Engineering, I was a member of the School Advisory
Committee to oversee the installation. maintenance of all school signs, crosswalks for
over one hundred and twenty schools throughout Duval County.
Why do I want to be on this committee?
I have worked with the public for many years and believe many residents are unfamiliar
with the codes. Sometimes residents need help and guidance in resolving code violations.
Each investigation I conduct. I bring training and experience and a determination to have
each resident understand the importance in complying with the codes. Each one of us is a
part of community, and we all must take responsibility for our property, our street and
neighborhood.
