I learned to work one-on-one with people of widely varying economic, educational and cultural levels. As a researcher/writer at Jacksonville CommunityCouncil (2 years), I learned the
value of communitycommitment in solving problems proactively and the importance of interpreting committee recommendations clearly and precisely. I have served on a number of Boards of

My earliest memories are of plants: from the age of two, I clearly recall the hydrangea bush by our back steps and the rows of red spider lilies in my aunt's garden. Many years later,
totally misdirected in my career, I completed the Master Gardener Program, served two years on the MGtelephone answer line and held plant clinics in area nurseries. As a homeowner in
Oceanwalk, I designed the requisite landscape plan for our property. I also am a failed member of the Jacksonville Rose Society; I got tired of spraying! As a 34 year resident of Atlantic
Beach, I increasingly appreciate the natural beauty we have -imagine: a beach as well as the natural Florida woodland -and would like to have a part in preserving it. We are so very
