BACKGROUND: The Public Utilities Department at times requires the services of
certified welders and metal fabricators. Bids were advertised and two bids were received
on November 10, 2010.

Water and Sewer Treatment and Sewer Collection funds in the amount of $25,000 under
account nos. 400 - 5502 -533 -3400, 410 - 5508 -535 -3400, and 410 - 5506 -535 -3400.
RECOMMENDATION: Award the annual contract for Welding Troubleshooting and
Repair to Ace Fabrications, LLC at the prices submitted in Bid No. 1011 -04.
