05-30-60 v MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH CITY
COMMISSION HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON MONDAY, MAY 30th, 1960
AT 8 P.M.

Chas. R. Moore
W. Laney Whitehurst, Commissioners
and
Frank Thompson, City Attorney
J.F. Waggoner, Jr. , City Manager
Adele S. Grage, City Clerk '
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor-Commissioner,
Mr. Howell, notice having been given 24 hours previously of
said Special Meeting.
Mr. Howell presented in writing an Ordinance Providing for the
closing of the beach within the City of Atlantic Beach, etc.
Mr. Johansen moved its adoption by Title only, seconded by
Mr. Moore. Section 3 is to show $100.00 find and/or 30 days.
Said Ordinance having been duly considered the Mayor put the
question thereon and the vote was
Aye: Claiborne, Johansen, Moore, Whitehurst, Howell.
Nay: None
Whereupon the Mayor declared said motion carried and said
Ordinance adopted on first reading. Public Hearing was set
for June 6th, 1960, at 8 P.M.
There was a lengthy discussion regarding parking areas for
those using the beach.
There being no further business the meeting was declared ad-
journed by Mayor Howell, to meet at 8 P .M. , June 6th, 1960
