06-06-60 v MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH CITY
COMMISSION HELD. AT THE CITY HALL ON MONDAY, JUNE 6TH, 1960
AT 8 P.M.

Wm. S. Howell
Preben Johansen
Chas. R. Moore, Commissioners
and
J.F. Waggoner, Jr. , City Manager
Adele S. Grage, City Clerk
Absent: J.B. Claiborne
W. Laney Whitehurst, Commissioners
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor-Commissioner,
Mr. Howell pursuant to the law and rules of said Commission.
The Commission went into session for Public Hearing on Ordinance
#57-60-3 being an Ordinance Providing for the Closing of the
Beach within the City of Atlantic Beach, etc. The Public Hearing
is in line with Notice as posted. Mr. Johansen presented and
caused to be read in full said Ordinance #57-60-3 and moved its
adoption on second and final reading, seconded by Mr. Moore. Said
Ordinance having been duly considered the Mayor put the question
thereon and the vote was:
Aye: Johansen, Moore, Howell
Nay: None
Absent: Claiborne, Whitehurst
Whereupon the Mayor declared said motion carried and said
Ordinance #57-60-3 adopted on second and final reading.
Mr. Waggoner presented the plat for the Royal Palms Sub-division
Unit #1 and recommended its approval subject to their providing
necessary easment for a force main and water main to serve the
sub-division at a point to be recommended by our engineer, Mr.
Walter J. Parks, Jr. There was a discussion of this Plat follow-
ing which Mr. Johansen presented Resolution # 60-13 accepting
the Plat of Royal Palms, Unit #1 (easement to be added before
signed) , same to be signed by the Mayor and City Clerk. The
motion was seconded by Mr. Moore and carried. Copy of Resolu-
tion # 60-13 is attached to these minutes and made a ,.art thereof.
There being no further business the meeting was declared adjourn-
ed by Mayor Howell.

RESOLUTION NO. 60-13
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
ATLANTIC BEACH, DUVAL COUNTY FLORIDA, THAT
The Subdivision Plat of Royal Palms Suddivision, Unit No. 1,
submitted to the City Commission on June 6th, 1960, be and
the same is hereby approved, and that the Mayor Commissioner
and City Clerk be instructed to sign said Plat.
