"The roof and flashing shall be sound, tight and not have defects that admit rain. Roof drainage shall be adequate to prevent dampness or deterioration in the walls or interior portion of the structure. Roof drains, gutters and downspouts shall be maintained in good repair and free from obstructions. Roof water shall not be discharged in a manner that creates a public nuisance ". (entire roof partially covered in deteriorating blue tarps) Section 302.4 – Weeds. "All premises and exterior property shall be maintained free from weeds or plant growth in excess of twelve (12 ") inches in height. All noxious weeds shall be prohibited. Weeds shall be defined as all grasses, annual plants and vegetation, other than trees or shrubs provided; however, this term shall not include cultivated flowers and gardens." (property overgrown) Section 307.1 – Accumulation of rubbish or garbage. "All exterior property and premises, and the interior of every structure shall be free from any accumulation or rubbish or garbage ". (large dog kennel in front yard and miscellaneous junk and debris stored on premises) Page 2 Notice of Violation — 795 Plaza, Atlantic Beach, Florida November 16, 2010 This letter requests you comply by removal of all replacing the entire roof, mow and clean property including removal of all rubbish, garbage, etc. stored outside of the premises within twenty (20) days of receipt of this notice. A permit is required to be obtained by a State of Florida licensed roofing contractor. A re- inspection will be done on or after December 13, 2010. If the violation is corrected and then recurs or if the violation is not corrected by the time specified in this notice this case may be presented to the Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement Board even if the violation has been corrected prior to the board meeting. The Code Enforcement Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty ($250.00) dollars per day for each day the violation is not corrected. Upon completing the corrective action required, it is your responsibility to contact Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to verify compliance.
