COMMENTS:
Dear Mr. Mike: Attached with this transmittal please find two sets of copies of the permit package on
the subject property for your review and record. As discussed during our meeting on Wednesday
September 15, 2010, the existing roof already covers the back porch. The old porch consisted of an
elevated wooden deck supported on two piers, with screen walls from the north and west. One pier is
located at the northwest corner and the second pier about mid way along the west wall. We are not
adding any area to the house. Listed below is a summary of the activities, with plans, attached for
details.
The back porch improvement will consist of the following:
• Construct new wall footing along the west and north wall of the old back porch.
• Construct a new masonry block wall to the level of the new back porch slab level.
• Fill inside the back porch with structural fill to construct a new concrete slab.
• Construct a new concrete slab patio outside the back porch.
• Clean the area and grade the backyard to its original level.

Dear Mr. Mike: Attached with this transmittal please find two sets of copies of the permit package on
the subject property for your review and record. As discussed during our meeting on Wednesday
September 15, 2010, the existing roof already covers the back porch. The old porch consisted of an
elevated wooden deck supported on two piers, with screen walls from the north and west. One pier is
located at the northwest corner and the second pier about mid way along the west wall. We are not
adding any area to the house. Listed below is a summary of the activities, with plans attached for
details.
The back porch improvement will consist of the following:
• Construct new wall footing along the west and north wall of the old back porch.
• Construct a new masonry block wall to the level of the new back porch slab level.
• Fill inside the back porch with structural fill to construct a new concrete slab.
• Construct a new concrete slab patio outside the back porch.
• Clean the area and grade the backyard to its original level.
