04-06-59 v MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH CITY COMMISSION
HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON MONDAY, APRIL 6TH, 1959 AT 7 P.M.
Present:
Wm. S. Howell
Preben Johansen
Hugh Roberts, Commissioners
and
J.F. ?laggoner, ' Jr. , City Manager
Adele S. Grage, City Clerk
Absent: Chas. R. Moore
W. Laney Whitehurst, Commissioners.
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor-Commissioner,
Mr. Howell.
Mr. Howell presented in writing an Ordinance restricting the
location wherein a vendor of alcoholic beverages shall be per-
mitted to conduct his place of business, etc. and repealing
Ordinance #10-58-4. Copies of said Ordinance had previously
been mailed to the Commissioners . Mr. Johansen moved its
adoption by title only on first reading, sedonded by Mr.
Roberts. Said Ordinance having been duly considered the Mayor
put the question thereon and the vote was:
Aye: Johansen, Roberts, Howell
Nay: None
Absent: Moore, Whitehurst
Whereupon the Mayor declared said 4otion carried and said
Ordinance adopted an first reading. Public Hearing was set for
April 13th, 1959.
Mr. Howell advised that he would like to attend the meeting of
the Florida State Firemens' Association at Marothon, Florida
on May 7th, 8th, and 9th, 1959. Mr. Johansen moved that ap-
proval be given for the Mayor, who is Acting Fire Chief, to
attend this -meeting with expenses paid, seconded by Mr. Roberts
and carried.
The Mayor declared the meeting adjourned at 7: 20 P.M.
