Darrell Pratcher B. Ray Martin 3. Adjournment Application Form for Darrell Prather for Culture and Recreation Committee Resubmitted July 12, 2005 Darrell Prather 1135 East Coast Drive Atlantic Beach, FL 32233 Dprather6of10@hotmail.com H: 904 - 249 -3038 C: 904 - 710 -0397 Experience: I have been a Coast Guard officer for over 15 years. My experience with the Service has varied widely from a Human Resource software analyst to business process engineer and change management catalyst to the training system's budget manager and manager of oil spill and major incident preparedness and response. I currently serve as a Liaison Officer to a major US Naval command on Mayport Naval Station. All these positions have taught me people and project management skills. I have found these skills critical regardless of the task at hand. I have not held any elected positions in boards or committees, but I have actively participated in each of three Home Owner Associations in places I've lived over my adult life. I am currently a volunteer and manage the web content for Ibis Point Home Owner Association where I was living before moving to Atlantic Beach. http: / /www.ibispoint.org. These experiences have taught me people skills and made me familiar with Robert's Rules of Order. Interest: I have thoroughly enjoyed the Acoustic Guitar night in the Park and Song Writer's night in the theater over the last few months at Adele Grage Cultural Center and Bull Memorial Park. The talent is absolutely outstanding and the people are even better. It appears to be growing each week. My girls and I also frequently enjoy the amenities at Jack Russell Park. I am applying to the Cultural Arts and Recreational Advisory Committee because I want to participate in the process that makes Atlantic Beach such a wonderful, friendly place to live. • JUN 2 7 2005 OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK C 4- 1\r )., CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH BOARD / COMMITTEE MEMBER APPLICATION FORM Please check CO beside each Board or Committee that you are applying to serve on: (A summary of each board/committee is available on page 2 of this form.)
